As a new member or roomowner, you can have a lot of questions. Even as a older member some things may be unclear. If that is the case, you can find some quick references on this page about registration, login, owning a room etc:
• Omni Chat uses a registration and login system. In order to be able to chat with your own profile, you have to register an account. This membership account is free of charge just as any other service from Omni Chat. To register click here

• You can read ourFAQ (frequently asked questions). In this FAQ (English version will follow asap) the most frequently asked questions are listed, accompanied by their answers. The FAQ is categorised. To login on the forum, you can use your account settings. For not registered members however, the FAQ can be read.

• If the answer cannot be found in the FAQ, you can visit our online Helpdesk, where one of our teammembers is present to assist you. The Helpdesk is open from 19.30 till 22.30 CET.

• If you have other questions, please fill in our form on FEEDBACK. Our Feedback team tries to answer within 24 hours. If in that period an answer is not possible, you will receive notification. If an answer cannot be given at all, you also will be notified.

• If you wish to open your own chatroom, click create room. Creating a room is free of charge and everyone can create a room. This room will remain on our server untill the last chatter leaves the room. After that, the room will automatically dissapear. If you wish to have a registered room, please read here for more information about criteria for registered rooms. If you are granted a registered room, Omni Chat shall create your room for you after server reset. Even if your last chatter leaves your room, the room will remain on our lists. Every year, Omni Chat "opens" an application period for registered rooms.

In order to protect your room OC has created several scripts which can be downloaden from downloads page. You need to be registered in order to download. For help on our scripts, please visit our Scripterslounge under Computers. Protection can furthermore be asked from OC staff. There's no need to let your room be protected by some streetwise chatters, that offer roomprotection. Our staff is fully equiped to help chatters and roomowners of both userrooms as registered rooms in case of emergency. OC scripts are fully tested and approved for both roomprotection, as server compatibilaty. They are easy to use. Using other scripts than the approved scripts (and using other protection than the offered OC protection) is fully your own responsibility and risk. If errors occur, a ban may be the result.

• Abuse of our services is not allowed. To read more about abuse, please read our abuse page so you know what to do in case of abuse.

• The rules of Omni Chat can be found here in our Code of Conduct. Please read them carefully, for using our services automatically means you agree with these rules.

Omni Chat staff is able to "identify" themselves by entering your room with a butterfly and a Omni Chat name starting with Admin_, Guide_, Sysop_ of Staff_. If somebody tells you they are OC staff, you may ask them to "identify" themselves by showing their butterfly. If this is refused, please send in an abusemail, for OC staff will always identify when asked. In no instance, give away information like user-password, roompassword etc. Omni Chat staff will never ask for this in your room!
